The Muppet Show

The Muppet Show takes the family film / comedy film route and wastes little time pretending life is going to remain orderly. Here, the premise gets on with its business without asking permission. The audience score suggests this one has earned considerably more goodwill than the average content-shaped object. The real question is whether the movie can keep its nerve once the setup is established — because a good premise is easy; landing the thing without driving into a hedge is the difficult bit.
