Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody

Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody takes the Drama route and wastes little time pretending life is going to remain orderly. Here, everyone carries enough emotional baggage to trigger an airline surcharge. The rating says it has enough going for it to justify a look, provided the premise is your kind of trouble. The real question is whether the movie can keep its nerve once the setup is established — because a good premise is easy; landing the thing without driving into a hedge is the difficult bit.
