The Weight

With The Weight, the pitch is basically historical drama film plus enough trouble to keep everyone busy. The premise gets on with its business without asking permission. The rating says it has enough going for it to justify a look, provided the premise is your kind of trouble. If that sounds like your sort of evening, excellent. If not, no amount of dramatic lighting and expensive marketing is going to perform a miracle.
