This City Is Ours

Season 1 of This City Is Ours is here, because apparently the characters still had unfinished business. It leans into genre, where everyone carries enough emotional baggage to trigger an airline surcharge. The IMDb crowd seems broadly convinced, which is more than can be said for a lot of modern entertainment. The formula is familiar, but that is not automatically a crime; sometimes you want a series to know its job, turn up on time, and get on with it.
