What If...?

Season 3 of What If...? is here, because apparently the characters still had unfinished business. It leans into Animation / Action, where the animated format gets permission to be louder, stranger and less restrained than real life. The IMDb crowd seems broadly convinced, which is more than can be said for a lot of modern entertainment. The formula is familiar, but that is not automatically a crime; sometimes you want a series to know its job, turn up on time, and get on with it.
