Sugar

John Sugar is a polished Los Angeles private detective searching for a missing woman while carrying a secret of his own. Sugar begins like classic noir—sunshine, wealthy clients, moral decay—then quietly suggests the genre itself may not be telling you everything. Never trust a detective story that looks this relaxed.
