The Voice

Season 30 sends another group of singers through blind auditions, coach battles and live performances while famous musicians press giant buttons and pretend the decision is easy. The format remains polished, sentimental and ruthlessly efficient at producing emotional backstories. Whether it finds the next superstar is uncertain; whether somebody cries under perfect lighting is considerably less so.
