World War II: From the Frontlines

World War II: From the Frontlines reaches Season 1 with a simple proposition: more Documentary / History, more complications, and very little interest in a quiet life. Here, reality does most of the heavy lifting, which is often unsettling enough without embellishment. The audience score suggests this one has earned considerably more goodwill than the average content-shaped object. Existing fans will know exactly what they signed up for, while newcomers should probably start earlier unless confusion is part of the entertainment.
