Batman: Knightfall - Part 1: Knightfall

Batman: Knightfall - Part 1: Knightfall takes the Animation / Action route and wastes little time pretending life is going to remain orderly. Here, the animated format gets permission to be louder, stranger and less restrained than real life. The IMDb crowd seems broadly convinced, which is more than can be said for a lot of modern entertainment. The real question is whether the movie can keep its nerve once the setup is established — because a good premise is easy; landing the thing without driving into a hedge is the difficult bit.
