The Last of Us

Season 2 of The Last of Us is here, because apparently the characters still had unfinished business. It leans into genre, where everyone carries enough emotional baggage to trigger an airline surcharge. The audience score suggests this one has earned considerably more goodwill than the average content-shaped object. The formula is familiar, but that is not automatically a crime; sometimes you want a series to know its job, turn up on time, and get on with it.
